Sanctified DC (Dana & Cheryl) will be at VCC Sunday to lead the worship service. They are wonderful ladies who love to lead VCC in worship so come out and be present to participate.
Second, we are launching a new 3-week Prayer initiative this Sunday. It’s called Pray About Someone Specific (or P.A.S.S.). we’ll be accepting individual sign ups starting this week for you to be involved. You’ll receive, on Sunday January 25th, a card that someone filled out and your duty will be to pray for them each day for 3 weeks. There are some daily suggestions for you to pray about and you can also add whatever you’d like for them as well. Your time commitment could be less than 5 minutes a day or as much as you’d like. After we’ve spent these multiple weeks praying about someone specific, we’ll have a celebration in the service on Sunday, February 15th, to allow people share briefly what a great experience it was to pray for others and how it made a difference in their lives. Come prepared Sunday to sign up. We’ll also allow signups on the 18th, but will need to assign the cards to people on Sunday, January 25th. That allows for 3 weeks of prayer for everyone involved before the 15th of February. This is going to be a real life-changer and will also allow you to serve someone specific through prayer. You will also get their address so you can send encouragement cards too. It will be a secret as to who you have and who has you. These will be revealed on that Sunday, February 15th. By the way, that’s the day after Valentines, so it will have been a true love-gift to those we are praying for. I hope you will get involved and try this out. As I said, a real life-changer.
