Keep in mind that next week we use the message time for an effort to intercede for those who need prayer. The Bible is direct on this…”pray for one another”. I ask that if you have a prayer need linked to you on the current prayer list that you get with me and offer an update so that the prayers can be as current as possible. If you need / want to add, do the same. We’ll also focus on the kids of VCC and others who will start another year of school soon.
Plans have formed up for the August 14th Sunday evening fellowship event. A picnic is the theme / style of meal. Please bring a side dish, some homemade ice cream or some carved watermelon to share. Also, if you have a set of “Washer Game” you could bring, do so. There will be music as well…VCC’s own Rich Helton will sing some old gospel songs and lead some as well. Also bring your own lawn chairs. If it’s oppressively hot, we’ll move inside. We will also have a short devotional thought shared. The time frame is 6-8 PM.
I’ll be praying for everyone to have a productive week. Remember, you might be the only God-connection some folks will encounter this week. Shine bright.
